Q. What is co-active coaching?

Coaching is a creative relationship between a coach and client (an individual or organization) where the entire focus is on clarifying where the client is today and where they want to be in the future, as well as what will help them achieve it.

The co-active model is a powerful equal partnership in which the coach and client are committed to unlocking a client’s truest potential. By working with a client to better understand themselves as well as their surroundings, clear goals can be set and effective personal and professional decisions are made. The coaching process involves exploring, creating awareness, and inspiring transformational change through tools, powerful questioning and challenging boundaries.

Q. How do i support you?

• Guidance: I guide you on your journey to be the best version of yourself. I guide you in practicing mindfulness to clarify your own goals, define who you are and where you want to go.

• Empowerment: I empower you to take charge of your life by supporting you at every step of your journey, building your confidence and helping you find and strengthen your own voice.

• Accountability: I hold you accountable for your success. I challenge you to step out of your comfort zones, to question your own excuses, and to stay on task so you can achieve your goals.

• Results: So often, we get caught up in our "someday" plans that never come to fruition. I help you focus on the here and now, devising a sustainable action plan that you can follow today.

Q. IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM THERAPY?

Yes, coaching focuses on the present and future, on possibilities and potentials in order to move forward, whereas therapy focuses uncovering past life issues and the present. Also, in coaching, a client and coach are equal partners. Nobody knows the client better than they know themselves, while the coach is the expert at guiding a client to gain clarity and move forward. In therapy, the therapist is the “expert” and diagnoses and treats.

 

Q. WHAT IS THE COACHING PROCESS?

Throughout our coaching relationship, we will move forward by:

a.) Guiding you to clearly assess your situation and helping you get clarity on what it is you really want.

b.) Setting personal and professional goals to help you get there as well as tracking them.

c.) Implementing the action plan and progressing

 

Q. IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes, it is 100% confidential (even if your organization is paying for it).

 

Q. HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Our first session (Discovery) is 2 hours. Each session after that is 1 hour.

 

Q. WHAT ARE THE STEPS INVOLVED in 1:1 cOACHING?

1. Book a FREE 45 minute consultation (Clarity Call) where we will discuss your needs, which of my services is a fit for you and you will get a taste of coaching with me. This will also give us a chance to get a sense of if we will work well together.

2. If the connection is there and we decide to work together, I will send you a proposal.

3. We will then book your first session (Discovery). This is a 2-hour session where we design our coaching relationship and how we will work together. We discuss your needs, your values, what your bigger vision is for yourself and what is getting in your way, and confirm your goals which we will be working toward in our coaching together.

4. Each session after that will be a regular 1 hour session. You bring your topic for the session and I bring foundational coaching tools. In between sessions, I will provide relevant resources to help you reach your goals.
 

Q. WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

You will come ready with a topic you would like to discuss for the session. During the session, I will bring support and also be open and honest with you, challenging you and pushing you outside of your comfort zone in support of you. We may have a thought-provoking discussion, move around, visualize or draw. At the end, you summarize what you are learning about yourself and an accountability will be given to further your development before the next session. At the beginning of the next session, we will debrief your accountability.

 
 
 

Q. WHAT IS AN ACCOUNTABILITY?

I will usually leave you with an action to take or an inquiry to reflect on in between sessions in service of you and your goals. An accountability is what you commit to do (or not to do) in between sessions.

 

Q. WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE?

Sessions can be conducted face-to-face, over the phone, or via VOIP mediums like Zoom. The powerful impact of coaching is the same regardless of whether sessions are in-person or over the phone.

 

Q. WHAT IS THE IDEAL CLIENT?

• You are willing to explore whatever comes up, while keeping an open mind & heart

• You come to each session prepared to share your learnings and have a topic ready that you want to be coached on

• You commit to the accountability if you have chosen to agree to it during the session

 

Q. WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

A client can feel the impact of coaching within the first session. It is an entirely personal experience and depends on the client themselves. As we work to address the areas a client is feeling stuck in, they will gain clarity on what is important to them and who they are in order to live in more alignment.

Action (resulting in long-term change) takes place in-between sessions, so clients need to be applying what they have learnt outside of sessions as well. By the end of our time coaching together, clients have gained more awareness, confidence and have made progress towards their goals

 

Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Change takes time and patience so a certain number of sessions are recommended. I offer one consultation/sample session at no cost to ensure that the chemistry is right for a successful coaching relationship. After that if and when we work together for the first time, I offer packages you can select from which you will find in the coaching proposal that I send to you after our initial consultation. If we have already worked together, you can renew your package or book sessions as needed.
